The Bible Is My Best Friend Devotional; Review & Giveaway

I am beyond excited to share this book review with you because anything that gathers families to have fun, spend time AND plug into to the word, is definitely worth the praise!

Many of you are familiar with Dr. Sheila Walsh being a powerhouse Speaker, Bible Teacher, Vocalist, or former 700 Club Host, but did you know aside from that & selling over 5 million books that she is also a phenomenal children’s author?

When I received her latest Family Devotional, The Bible Is My Best Friend, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect or how applicable it may be to families who have children with broad age ranges. I can tell you I was pleasantly surprised. There is something for everyone to enjoy & learn; you don’t want to miss out on this one.

Sheila opens with a letter to households explaining the unique goal of this book: to allow parents & their children a chance to push busy aside, spend time together while exploring God’s word & understanding, no matter your age, the Bible IS your best companion throughout life.

The pages are filled with memory verses, Scripture scavenger hunts, weekly challenges, a good dose of quirky fun & so much more. Best of all, your tribe will have a chance to unplug from electronics & focus on learning side by side, laughing together, & serving with one another each week- & “who doesn’t want to make time for that?”, she asks.

The pages are whimsically illustrated with pops of color & eye catching layouts. In the back you’ll find a Parent Connection page, along with, Memory Verse Index for quick references & a “Look For It” page that helps children get involved by locating key objects or words hidden within scripture verses.

I just cannot say enough wonderful things about this book. Woven between craft projects, & games these features unfold to draw you back & weave you into God’s direct word in such a unique, yet practical way.

Since I was blessed to get my hands on a copy, I would love to pay one forward to you. Whether it’s something your home could personally use or you think, like me, it could also serve as an exceptional gift idea. Either way, I want you to be blessed with some happy mail.
