About Jada

About Me’s are always hard since I am not a fan of the 3rd person profile. I’ll just skim the surface for you, providing a snapshot into my life..

I talk a lot about God- about Christ, but not in the way that shoehorns my beliefs into every moment of your lives, or crams them down your throat. There isn’t an “About Me” without my spirituality, & I learned a long time ago how to balance the reality of who I am, & to whom I give the glory, without feeling a need to walk around with labels slapped all over myself.

You’ll also find in my life line-up, an amazing husband, & our 2 amazing children. We are the family who talks, lives, & behaves in ALL CAPS.

These 3 people saved my life in 3 critical, yet different seasons, & I never cease talking about them. J is an I.B. brick & mortar, as well as, I.B. online high school teacher through Oxford. A local/global rugby coach, & wearer of way too many hats; note: also my very best friend.

Our sweet son is completing year 4 of college, & our miracle girl is journeying through 4th grade in virtual school. If you can do math, that’s a lot of age distance between kids. Very blessed, but busy & tired parents, we are. We reside on the beautiful & very humid SW FL coast.

The story of Jesus is wild, beautiful, & yes at times it feels crazy to believe all of this. Had I not been so fortunate to receive so many unexplained, supernatural experiences throughout my life, I would likely feel less thrilled about this relationship/experience, but here we are.

He appeared to me on my Damascus walk, & totally wrecked my life in all ways wonderful & many times over, confusing. I write a lot about this miracle story. I will never get over it. It’s a meaty, but important essay. It’s who I am & why I am. You can read much of it here: This Is My Story. This Is My Song. This Is My Testimony.

I have a strong desire, & love for writing. It’s the place I’ve always found myself. The problem, besides social media rants, & random blog posts, I kept it to myself until around 2015. Thankfully, there have been great doors opened for me to freelance write, & have my pieces published. I pray for many more opportunities to come, but love most, the lives that have intersected mine through my stories. Some wonderful friends blossomed for me in a time of consistent outpouring, & that means more to me than anything.

I will admit that I am more story/truth teller than trained, or poetic writer. I have no educational foundation where writing is concerned. My typos are proof of this truth.

Telling all of my stories, & boy do I have volumes, is where you’ll find yours, & in my hopeful transparency, realize that you are never alone. We are all are woven together by more commonalities than we know, it just takes another, willing to start the conversations, whether they be hard or hilarious, and invite everyone to sit at life’s table.

I don’t lament or stress about my calling(s) anymore. I spent a great deal of my life trying to mirror what other people were doing instead of allowing myself to be original with my gifts. There’s no growth in copying something already done a particular way, or trying to grab hold of another’s foundation expecting to be spring boarded. When you realize God has given you a unique journey of your own, you’ll know there is always enough talent to go around; when we are using ours to its fullest capacity, the tank will always be replenished.

Spiritual success is more important to me than anything else- it’s my legacy. Changing a life through my own experiences means much more to me than making a popular name for myself. I want people to know through my scroll of personal highs AND lows, that someone understands, & has been there.

Finalizing this intro (I am long-winded), I have been published in, & guest written on several hundred pieces for various websites, blogs, magazines, & personal dissertations. I would love to write for you also, so contact me in the event you’d like to share space, and creativity.

Personally: I hoard items for a cause, or that will give others sustainable income. Always jumping in wherever I can to be a real life advocate for others, instead of an internet activist. I deleted Facebook 6+ years ago, and Twitter in 2018, so you’ll only find me on the Insta, or here.

I don’t usually mince words, & I really love sarcasm/satire. || I’m a huge AL football fan, ROLL TIDE!! || I love to travel. || I am trying to be a better wife, momma, & friend. || I don’t get mad anymore, I get distant.|| I’m in a constant state of reminding myself, I am not Jr. God. He needs my example of love, not my authority or judgment on his behalf. || I am embracing my life, & the loss of my abs. (The mid 40’s, man). || I still don’t like cheese, Nutella, or the Enneagram. || I’m OK with saying no. || I abuse the use of a comma, obviously. || I’m totally fine with carbs. || I am not the friend you put on speaker phone. || I love recording short IG stories that often lead to long threads. || I’ve learned to forgive others for the “I’m sorry” I will never receive. || And a whole bunch of other stuff…. which you’ll find out if you stick around.

Hopefully, you’ll get some encouragement here. Really hoping we can hold hands, and keep this an argue free zone. Internet stone throwing is a thorn in my side. We are much better together than we will ever be divided, plus most of us truly don’t owe one another a debate when it comes to things we’re passionate about.

I want to talk to you through my writing, the same way I would if we were sitting side by side. Except you can’t hear my thick Bama accent, or my overuse of the word, y’all.

::Before I forget, here’s kind of thing- Deeply forgive some of the archived posts. In the very beginning I never cared about typing etiquette, so bear with that, & try not to gasp/faint over all of my grammatical errors. I just wanted to pour out whatever thoughts were in my brain- unfortunately much of what I poured out, I may not even stand on now. One day I’ll find the time to review/delete. They are my sometimes awful, blog babies::

Thanks again for stopping by! Make sure you pop in your email address to have posts delivered right to your inbox. I also invite you to follow me on social media, where the crazy really gets paraded around. Blessings!
